Michel-Adrien Sheppard wrote about a presentation he attended on March 20th, 2013.  The event was organized by the National Capital Association of Law Libraries {NCALL}.  At the event, a representative from the Library of Parliament {LOP} outlined a plan for older federal parliamentary debates to be available without charge within 18 months.

Sonia Bebbington, Library of Parliament, wrote to confirm a January 2013 Announcement that LOP would provide an online portal access to the historical debates of the Parliament of Canada.  The content will be released in stages with the pre-1900 debates  and the content from 1988 to the mid-1990s available later this Spring. 

The portal will be a collaborative arrangement between LOP and Canadiana.org.
